Meaning “Like a Mother” in Zulu, the song addresses the ongoing crisis of gender-based violence and femicide in South Africa. Siphiwe Black and Big Zulu use the record to speak against the killing of women while calling for greater protection and respect for mothers, sisters, and women in society.
