Mayonnaise Cebisa Ft. Buhle Xulu – Bafuna Wena

Mayonnaise Cebisa opens his latest project with “Bafuna Wena,” a Maskandi/South African Rock collaboration featuring Buhle Xulu. Released on October 1, 2026, the song serves as the title track of his new EP, distributed digitally through Amuseio AB.

The track is rooted in traditional Zulu guitar work, with energetic South African percussion giving the arrangement a lively feel. Cebisa leads the performance alongside Buhle Xulu, whose vocals bring a complementary presence to the song.

Their voices work naturally against the guitar-led backdrop, giving “Bafuna Wena” a strong traditional character without making the production feel dated. The song balances familiar Maskandi elements with a broader South African Rock influence, reflecting the musical direction of the new project.

As the EP’s title track, “Bafuna Wena” provides a fitting introduction to Cebisa’s latest body of work while putting the collaboration with Buhle Xulu at the forefront.
