Tanzanian gospel minister Henrick Mruma returns with a renewed expression of gratitude through “Umenipendelea 2.0,” a live worship collaboration featuring celebrated gospel singer Paul Clement.
Released on September 10, 2026, the song arrives as a new interpretation of Mruma’s 2024 praise anthem “Umenipendelea,” which originally featured Eliya Mwantondo. This updated version brings a fresh vocal pairing while retaining the central message of recognising God’s goodness and favour.
The Swahili phrase Umenipendelea carries the meaning of “You have favoured me,” placing thanksgiving at the heart of the record. Mruma presents the song as an acknowledgement of God’s grace, celebrating blessings as gifts that come through divine favour rather than personal achievement.
Recorded live at Don Bosco Namanga on June 5, 2026, the performance benefits from the full musical support of Tanzanian worship ensemble Seed Of Faith TZ. The live setting gives the record a communal worship atmosphere, allowing the vocals and instrumentation to build naturally around its message of praise.
Paul Clement adds his powerful worship presence to the performance, complementing Mruma’s delivery and helping give the new version its own identity. The collaboration creates a strong vocal exchange while keeping the focus firmly on worship and thanksgiving.
