A painful loss becomes the inspiration for “Hommage,” a deeply personal record from Fally Ipupa dedicated to the late Vally Amisi. The song arrives as part of XX : Délirium, Fally’s expansive 51-track double album, which was officially released on September 18, 2026.
Vally Amisi was a young Congolese entrepreneur and sports executive whose sudden passing left a strong impact on the Kinshasa community. Fally Ipupa uses “Hommage” to remember him, turning the sadness of his absence into a sincere musical tribute.
Throughout the song, Fally reflects on what it means to lose someone and continue living with the space they leave behind. He uses medical imagery to describe the weight of grief, including the idea of falling into an “emotional coma” as the pain of separation becomes difficult to bear.
