Nako 2 Nako – Hawahemi Vol 2

The return of Nako 2 Nako (N2N Africa) brings a significant chapter to Tanzanian hip-hop with Hawahemi Vol. 2, a new studio album released on September 29, 2026. The Arusha-based pioneers revisit the raw spirit of Bongo Hip-Hop while introducing modern production touches across the project.

The album arrives as a sequel to the group’s Hawahemi series and reinforces their continued presence within Tanzania’s rap scene. Its rollout has been built around a message of staying ahead of the times, with the veteran crew reflecting on ambition, resilience, and navigating an ever-changing music industry.

Among the notable records is “Mbele Ya Muda,” produced by legendary producer P-Funk Majani. Translating to “Ahead of Time,” the track brings together strong lyrical performances from Nako 2 Nako members and affiliates, including Lord Eyes, Mweusi, Fido Vato, and Ibra Da Hustla.

Another standout is “Hawatujui,” featuring Stopa Rhymecca and produced by Paul Maker of Sound God Production. The song leans into traditional boom-bap elements, adding an old-school character to the album. “Footwork” also forms part of the tracks accompanying the album’s September 29 rollout.

Experience Nako 2 Nako’s Hawahemi Vol. 2 and revisit the distinctive lyricism and enduring sound of one of Tanzania’s veteran hip-hop crews.
