Melody, romance, culture, and everyday experiences shape HumbleSmith’s latest six-track project, Mr Melody.
The Nigerian Afropop and Highlife singer steps into a new phase with a concise EP that brings together different shades of his sound while keeping his songwriting and vocal performance firmly at the centre.
The project includes “Bolingo,” a previously released collaboration with respected Highlife singer Umu Obiligbo. Produced by Vstix, the song takes the fifth position on the EP and stands as the project’s only guest-assisted track. The remaining songs are performed by Humble Smith alone.
Production across Mr Melody is largely led by DALORBEATS, who handles “Aso Oke,” “Jealousy,” “Baby Fire,” “Pressure,” and “Moment.” Vstix takes charge of “Bolingo,” while ZegzMix is responsible for mixing and mastering all six tracks.
The EP begins with “Aso Oke” before moving through “Jealousy,” “Baby Fire,” and “Pressure.” “Bolingo” follows with Umu Obiligbo, while “Moment” brings the six-track collection to a close.
