Faith tested through difficult seasons forms the heart of “Dhahabu,” a powerful worship release from Neema Gospel Choir featuring gospel minister Godliver Godian.
Released on October 2, 2026, alongside its official music video, the Tanzanian gospel record takes its title from the Swahili word for “Gold.” The song builds on the choir’s earlier live worship presentation, giving the message a fresh studio treatment.
At the centre of “Dhahabu” is the belief that hardship can serve as a period of spiritual refinement rather than defeat. Drawing inspiration from 1 Peter 1:7, the song compares tested faith to gold passing through fire, encouraging believers to remain steadfast when facing challenging circumstances.
The songwriting credits go to Joshua Ngowi, Samuel Limbu, and Fredrick Masanja, whose message gives the track its devotional focus. Godliver Godian adds her vocal presence alongside the choir, strengthening the worship atmosphere and helping carry the song’s central declaration of becoming better through life’s trials.
