Two voices from Southern Africa meet on “Wish You Knew,” a cross-border collaboration between Zambian Afro-pop star Yo Maps and Namibian rapper Lioness. The highly anticipated single is now officially released on October 2, 2026.

Yo Maps brings his soulful, Bemba-infused vocal style to the record, giving the song a melodic foundation that reflects his established Afro-pop sound. Lioness adds a contrasting presence with her sharp and confident English rap delivery, creating a dynamic exchange between the two artists.

“Wish You Knew” serves as a musical connection between Zambia and Namibia, bringing together different vocal approaches while maintaining a contemporary African pop direction. The pairing allows both performers to showcase their individual strengths across the track.

The new single adds another cross-border release to Yo Maps’ catalogue while giving Lioness an opportunity to connect her rap style with Zambia’s Afro-pop sound. Their combination makes the record a notable meeting of two Southern African music scenes.
