Regret and the pain of a relationship gone wrong take centre stage on “Najuta,” the latest release from rising Tanzanian artist Meddy Voice.
The Swahili title translates to “I Regret,” setting the tone for a deeply personal song about heartbreak, mistakes, and the consequences of getting things wrong in love.
Released officially on September 12, 2026, the track sees Meddy Voice lean into his distinctive vocal style while delivering a story filled with remorse. His performance gives the lyrics a vulnerable quality, allowing the song’s message to come through without losing its melodic appeal.
Known for drawing from Singeli and Bongo Flava, the Rufiji, Pwani-born artist combines expressive vocals with a contemporary East African sound. “Najuta” carries that musical identity while taking a more reflective direction, giving listeners a record built around both melody and personal storytelling.
